Go Green's Notes from Post

Here we go!

The Army Wrestling team is officially on a roll, winning their 3rd straight EIWA dual by defeating the Bearcats of Binghamton yesterday.  The 22-11 win came on the heels of Binghamton upsetting #17 Navy.

The #AmericasTeam brand was on full display as all of our guys were on the attack and pushing the pace.  We lived on their legs and we finished a ton of hard-fought takedowns.  Here's the recap!

Wrestling Picks Up Road Win At Binghamton, Moves to 3-0 in EIWA - Army West Point (goarmywestpoint.com)

Winning the first 5 was very important and each of those guys was the aggressor from the opening whistle.

125- Ethan is starting to finish more, and starting to attack both sides of the body

133-Braden LOVES giving up the first TD- but has an iron will.  No one is tougher.

141-LB was precise and his finishes were super clean.

149-Matty was dominant.  Great to see him trusting his stuff.

157-Nate leads the country in major decisions and last night was no different.

We hit the strong part of their lineup up top as they have 4 Nationally ranked guys and we won two of the last five with ranked guys of our own.  Nice W's for Ben and Lucas to finish it out.

We will be at Bucknell on Saturday night for another evenly matched dual. We will send a small contingent and some of our prep team to Lock Haven for the Mat Town Open on Sunday.

Thanks for all your support and we look forward to continuing to compete at a high level in the back end of this season!
