Go Green's Notes from Post
Well, here we are...
One week from now we will be talking about how many guys we have repping America's Team in Kansas City and which ones will be on the podium in Kansas City. We are thrilled to be headed to Bucknell to compete this Friday and Saturday!
Dual Season
Good news- We finished up the season as the #25 ranked team in the nation. This is a testament to the grit and determination of our guys. It is also due to our entire programs believe in development and improvement. Few people would've predicted a national ranking for this group after the Campbell dual. In fact, I think after Navy started hot most people assumed we would lose 7 or 8 bouts to them. We didn't. I anticipate starting in the national rankings next year and competing for an EIWA Dual crown.
Stepping up our Game
If you haven't been to a dual at Christl recently, you are missing out. We are quickly becoming one of the most unique and intense places to wrestle. We led the EIWA in home attendance last year and are a huge draw on the road as well. Our Cadets show up mat side every single time and we are focused on attracting a local following as well. Our Senior Night vs American was no different as the crowd was rowdy and the results were outstanding.

If you are planning on being in Lewisburg for the Easterns this weekend, let me know! Here is a great resource.

Save the Date
Please make plans to be at West Point May 4th. We will have events for parents and alumni all weekend, with the centerpiece being an Awards Gala to honor this year's team on Saturday night. This is an event I had a lot of success with in my previous job and I am committed to building it into an annual "must trip" for everyone to help celebrate a great year. Gala tickets will go on sale soon and we will be publishing a list of other things to do. Like I said- more details to come, but circle that weekend (May 3-5) on your calendar.
WP Alumni to Compete at Olympic Trials
Big congrats to Jeremiah Imonode and PJ Ogunsanya for earning berths in the Olympic Trials in April. Both will head to State College to compete for spots in the Paris Olympics. We look forward to continuing to produce World Class athletes through the WPWC and look forward to watching these guys compete.
Onward and upward guys. We hope to see everyone in either Lewisburg or Kansas City!!
