Go Green's Notes from Post
Hey guys!
Man, it's a great time to be around the Army Athletic department. The football team moved to 5-0 and returns home for back-to-back weeks of big games. You know that we will have recruits in town to soak in the championship atmosphere at Michie. Coach Ward is going to head down to Super 32 to catch some future members of America's Team AND we got commitments from our first two 2026 HS grads.
All that, and we are only a few weeks away from the Princeton Open! Here is what else is going on.
Old Grad Updates
Ok, so I hosted my first one last weekend. It was a good start, bringing in 25 people to the call. My goal is to double those numbers next month, and I'm committed to doing them the last Monday of every month. Casual format, bring your questions. I have been a part of these calls at my alma mater Binghamton as a coach and an alumnus and they regularly net over 100 engaged fans. Hope to see you there.
Socials/ Get Togethers
The season is close and that means gathering together while we are on the road. A couple dates to keep in mind-Nov 8 - We wrestle the Citadel and Gardner Webb at the Throwdown on the Yorktown. This is a sold-out affair. Whitt Dunning has organized a social and all Army ticket holders will get a detailed email soon. We will tell you guys more about it as the event gets closer, but plan to attend.Nov 17- We head to MY hometown, Buffalo to take on Purdue at 10am and Buffalo at 2pm. Fans will gather at Duffs next to campus between duals to share fellowship and talk about West Point. More details to follow, but I know Doug Williams is making the short drive from Ohio. The Bills host the Chiefs at 4pm so if you want to make a day of it in the greatest city in the world, it would be a great trip for you.
Recruiting
You guys all know it is an NCAA violation to talk about recruits, but it was gratifying to see our 2025 HS grad class ranked 13th in the nation. Coach Ward said that was the highest ranking in his tenure. We've stacked a couple good classes in a row. Here are the rankings
RTC Camp
It was great to have Jessy Williams in town this weekend running a camp for our athletes that are preparing for the U23 World Championships and the Bill Farrell International. Lucas and Sofia head to Albania in just a few weeks!
Insider Article
If you haven't already, check out Tanner Craig's article on Insiders. We are fortunate to have him interning with us this fall, but do not plan on putting him in charge of any hikes any time soon.
