Go Green's Notes from Post

As you guys know, the growth of the WPWC is linked to the success of our USMA team. That link was on full display in Vegas this week at the US Open.
I’ll verify this later, but I think we are likely the only RTC to have medalists in all three senior disciplines.
Lucas Stoddard and Sofia Macaluso both entered their first Senior Open, after some solid successes at the u23 level. Both made the podium and both qualified for the World Team Trials in Kentucky in two weeks.
Sofia won the bronze medal with multiple come from behind wins over former world teamers. If you are a fan of fast paced, offensive wrestling, you should check out her matches on Flo.

Lucas stepped up amongst the best HWTs in the nation and fought his way to a 7th place finish. His freestyle resume grows as he adds to his two age group Pan Am Championships.
In the Greco Roman disciplines, we had All American finishes at the senior level from Fabian Gutierrez (5th at 55k), Taylor LaMont (7th at 67k) and Arvin Khosravy (6th at 77k). Two u20 athletes made the podium as well with Owen Hicks securing 8th and Tristan Hitchcock getting 6th.
Outside of the above results, we had a lot of guys go deep into the U20 division in freestyle, and a lot of incoming and committed recruits were out here doing big things, including making World Teams.
If you want to see a demonstration as to why the future is bright for America’s Team, check out Vegas!!
