Truth being told, I was pretty excited for our dual vs Bucknell- they kicked our butt in the dual last year and I felt like we wrestled very poorly. They are always a tough, well coached team and I respect that. But we really wanted to remind them who is better.
I went into the dual thinking we were better than them at all 10 weights and left feeling the same way. We wrestled well, but we have a lot more to give. Luckily, we have time to get there.
My favorite part of the dual was getting the first takedown in 8 of 10 matches. This is something we have been working on, getting to attacks early. So, it is good to see that working.
My least favorite part is we lost leads in 4 bouts, which is unacceptable. We have work to do.
Winning duals on our schedule is never easy, so thankful for that.
Special recognition to Braden, Gunner, Wolfgang and Brady who all beat ranked opponents.
