Thank You and Update
Army Wrestling Family-
I’m hoping this message finds you and your family doing well and I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! A break in our competition scheduled allowed the Army Wrestling team to take a couple hard-earned days off for the holiday, and in doing so, we were able to reflect on the start of our season, the progress we have made, and the many things we have to be thankful for. And in doing so, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude for the support we have received so far this season and I want to personally thank you for the difference you have made in our program.
Earlier this month we hosted the two biggest wrestling events ever at West Point with our dual vs. Iowa and our tournament, the Black Knight Invite.
We set record attendance (over 2K fans!) for our Iowa dual meet, and we set a record revenue number for a single day event. Both milestones that we could not have reached without your incredible support! Many of you showed up in person or purchased and donated tickets to groups that could attend. You helped create an amazing atmosphere for our Cadets, and you send a powerful message to the entire West Point community that wrestling matters and should continue to be supported in a BIG TIME way! Thanks to you, we can continue to build something special at West Point. I am excited for what lies ahead and confident we will continue to climb.
For those of you who haven’t had a chance to see the team in person this season, you have two more chances:
- Dec 3rd we will be at American University at 1PM. In addition to the dual, our Association of Graduates is hosting a Pre-Match Social at Millie’s (1 mile from the arena) starting at 11AM. Any Alumni/supporters that would like to attend, please reach out to me directly to RSVP. I hope to see you there!
- Dec 9th – the night before the Army/navy Football game – we will be wrestling at the University of Pennsylvania for our last competition of the semester. This is a chance to have a home crowd advantage for an away dual and we expect a STRONG crowd! To secure tickets in the Army ticket block use THIS LINK and the code SITWITHARMY
