The Rose Bowl of Wrestling

We had a strong contingent of wrestlers attend the Wilkes Open and we were able to crown a champion.  Congrats to Firstie Tanner Craig on his title!  We got wins from all 17 athletes who entered and it was a good variety of competition with every major DI conference represented, plus a strong group of D3 grapplers.

We also got top 3 finishes from the following:

125 Joe Couch

133 Conor Collins

141 Shane Percelay/Rich Treanor

165 Andrew Christie

We also ran into some of our friends from USMAPS and it was fun to watch them get all 4 guys they brought onto the podium.

Special Thanks to injured Firsties Joe Metz, Tyler Morris and Mark Montgomery for giving up a day of break to help coach their teammates.

Sheridan Invitational

Coach Ward was in the Lehigh Valley with a group of guys as well and it was a good day results wise against a strong DI only field.

The big news is 3x NCAA Qualifier Ben Pasiuk is back at 174 and he finished as runner-up to a very tough Indiana foe.

Gunner also made a weight drop and finished 2nd as well at 165.

Congrats again to our resident athlete Vayle Baker for winning the Senior Nationals.  She will represent West Point WC in the Olympic Trials in April.  If you missed her pre tourney post on Gratitude, you should check it out.

We will send a contingent to ring in the new year at the Southern Scuffle. Another group will be set for the Lehman Open at F&M on 1/4. We are looking forward to building on the momentum we have built and enjoying many more successes in 2024. Thanks for all your support!
